A community for every woman connected to the building envelope: at any level, in any role. Many of us have walked into meetings, sites or events as the only woman in the room, left out of the golf days and pub deals, or treated as a token rather than a peer. We’re here to change that, together. There are already brilliant groups in construction, glazing, architecture etc, but this Collective is different. It isn’t limited by job title, sector, company type or seniority. Whether you work for a business, a contractor, a consultancy or for yourself: you belong here. We exist to create a safe and supportive community where women can speak openly, share experiences and get real support without judgement. From apprentices to senior leaders, from site to office to boardroom, no one has to navigate this industry alone. We champion visibility and opportunity by highlighting women’s technical and leadership contributions across the entire building envelope. We build networks that open doors, generate business and accelerate career progression, without relying on the male-dominated channels the industry has always defaulted to. We also want to drive cultural change across the industry. That means carving out new, inclusive ways to collaborate and connect. It means challenging behaviours and assumptions that hold women back. And it means pushing for practical improvements, from PPE and site facilities to event formats and everyday interactions that elevate the industry for everyone. This Collective is for every woman. Designers, engineers, estimators, consultants, contractors, installers, project managers, QSs, administrators, freelancers, fabricators, ops teams and beyond. If your work touches the building envelope in any way, this Collective is for you. And yes, allies are very welcome! We know there are many men who actively support women in our sector. We want them alongside us: speaking up, opening doors and helping build a more inclusive future.
